Errors Lead to 5 Unearned Runs in Lopsided Loss

Braves beat Biscuits 10-4 to take series advantage

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Biscuits (58-48/22-16) commited a season-high three errors that led to five unearned runs in a 10-4 loss to the Mississippi Braves (47-60/17-20) on Tuesday night at Riverwalk.

The M-Braves grabbed their first unearned run after a two-out error from Hak-Ju Lee in the third to take 3-1 lead. After the Biscuits tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the third, Montgomery commited their second error of the night in the fourth inning that lead to two more runs to push Mississippi out in front 5-3. The M-Braves delivered the knockout-blow after another two out error in the sixth inning, followed by a two-run triple from Joe Terdoslavich giving Mississippi a 7-3 lead.

Jake Thompson (7-9) was tagged with the loss after allowing eight runs but only three earned on ten hits through 5.2 innings. It was Thompson's third-straight loss. Jose Lugo (3-2) got the win for the M-Braves, pitching four innings of relief and only allowing one run.

Ty Morrison (above), Michael Sheridan and Derek Dietrich finished with two hits a piece. Lee went 1-for-3 with two walks, extending his on-base streak to a franchise-record 43 games.

Game four of the series will be Wednesday night at 7:05. RHP Matt Buschmann will get the start for Montgomery. Mississippi will send out RHP Gary Moran.
