MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Matt Buschmann (2-1) struck out 12 and took a no-hitter into the 6th to lead the Biscuits (17-19) by the Jacksonville Suns (17-19) 1-0 in a dramatic series-opener Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

Buschmann threw 5.1 innings of no-hit baseball before surrendering the first base-hit of the night with a broken bat single from Taylor Krick. Adam Liberatore (4) entered the game in the 9th inning and quickly ran into trouble. Paul Gran led off the frame with a single, then an error off a groundball from Jake Smolinski put runners on second and third with no outs. Liberatore would enduce back-to-back groundouts followed by a line drive that was caught by Brad Coon in left to seal the win for the Biscuits.

The Biscuits and Suns will play Saturday night with RHP Jake Thompson getting the start for Montgomery. RHP Bryan Evans will start for Jacksonville. First pitch is slated for 7:15 pm.
