5-3 defeat finishes homestand for the Biscuits at 6-9
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Biscuits (10-15) brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the 9th before dropping their fifth-straight game with a 5-3 defeat from the Birmingham Barons (14-11) in the series-finale Sunday afternoon at Riverwalk Stadium.
Hak-Ju Lee walked with one out in the 9th inning. After Omar Luna singled up the middle, Cole Figueroa drove in Lee from third with a groundball to first making the score 5-3. Henry Wrigley stepped to the plate representing the potential tying run, but his liner to left-center was caught to end the game.

The Barons got on the board first with an RBI-double from Drew Garcia in the 3rd inning. Third baseman Corey Smith would highlight the inning with a 2-run home run to give Birmingham a 3-0 lead.
Figueroa walked three times to extend his on-base streak to 25 games. Brad Coon (above) finished the game 1-2 with two walks and a stolen base.
