Calling all teachers for the 2012-2013 school year!Do you have a project that relates to health or wellness that you would like to share with your school or classroom next school year? Big Mo’s Pitch a Project Program, funded by All Med Physicians, would like to grant your project to a River Region school or classroom between grades K-5th. Check back for information on how to submit your project to benefit your class and curriculum for the 2012-2013 academic school year! Although we suggest you submitting a project that benefits your specific curriculum, projects should mainly focus on teaching health and wellness to students. Projects can be anything from a field trip to software programs to materials for activities; we encourage you to be CREATIVE! All Med will respond with up to $500 in materials/donation. Last month, All Med Physicians donated $300 to Prattville Elementary’s Bobcat Bolt Fundraiser, as well as a GloGerm Handwashing Kit and Laser Thermometer. Submissions must be in the form of a written essay or video essay posted to YouTube. From these nominations, a selection committee will select the grant recipient to be awarded each month. Teachers of the funded projects will be recognized during an on-field ceremony at a 2013 Biscuit’s home game. Questions? Contact Lauren Baggett at lbaggett@biscuitsbaseball.com
